KIMAIR KZD Series Intelligent Zero Air Loss Condensate Drains

The KZD Series represents an innovation in drain technology, using intelligent liquid level sensing and pilot-operated diaphragm valves to achieve "drain only when water is present, stop immediately when drained" with zero compressed air consumption. Compared to timed drains, it operates precisely based on actual accumulated water, ensuring absolute equipment dryness while eliminating the energy waste caused by timed drains' periodic air exhaust.

Application Scenarios

- Systems highly sensitive to energy consumption: such as large air compressor stations, energy-saving retrofit projects.

- Networks with many scattered drain points: batch use yields obvious energy savings.

- Discharging oily, dirty condensate: where traditional float types are prone to sticking.

- Critical drain points requiring high reliability and status monitoring: such as sterile workshops, data centers.

Customer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How does a zero air loss drain achieve energy savings? How can the energy saving effect be quantified?

A: Traditional timed or differential pressure drains exhaust compressed air with each operation (lasting seconds). The KZD Series only discharges liquid, not air. The energy saving depends on drain frequency and pressure. For example, replacing a timed drain with a 1/4” port, operating twice per minute at 0.7MPa, with a KZD can save hundreds to thousands of kWh per year per unit. We provide an energy saving calculation tool.

Q: Are the electronic components easily damaged in humid environments?

A: The KZD Series is designed for harsh environments:

1) Sensing probe: IP65 protection, completely waterproof;

2) Circuit sealing: epoxy resin potting, moisture and vibration resistant;

3) Operating temperature: 1°C to 60°C.

Its reliability is much higher than mechanically operated float-type drains.

Why Choose the KZD Series?

With energy costs rising daily, every cubic meter of compressed air represents real money. The KZD Series reduces the energy consumption of this "necessary waste" - drainage - to zero, making it a perfect reflection of lean production and cost control. It not only saves electricity costs but also represents an advanced, sustainable equipment management philosophy.
